First I should say thanks for the bday love. All the gifts, calls, texts, emails, and facebook messages were much appreciated. I’ve spent the last hour trying to respond to everybody, but if I missed anyone, just wanna say thanks. Grateful for another year.
Anywho, Ndelible’s playing again at the Suite 18 Lounge in Bmore. Maryland Avenue. Unfortunately it is 21 and up (Feels good to finally be allowed in the joint though, lol). We go on around 8pm. The lounge is a really dope venue. I believe it’s only about a month or so old. And the chairs make you wanna holla (word to Marvin Gaye). Seriously, some of the most comfortable sitting surfaces I’ve ever been in. Too much info? Probably. But once you experience the chairs, you too will…iono. Something or other
Quick rant: I’m kinda tired of keeping up w/ all these social networking things. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just contributing to an unnecessary flood of music and opinion. These days, though, I don’t have too much of a choice. Seems like every day I hear about new artists who “aren’t like the rest.” But the truth of the matter is, most of us indie musicians are very much like the rest…we’re all hustling for relevance. Often without too much of a payoff.
That said, I’m really interested to see how music production/distribution/consumption changes in the coming years. I could ramble on this forever, but I’ll shut up now.
